Tom has 6 grandchildren and one on the way. Hailee, age 11, Tanner, age 6, Averie age 4, Shawn, age 2, Evie, age 1 and Chase, 11 months. He was also expecting his 7th grandchild. Due in October. Hailee is Tom and Sharon's first grandchild. She was such a delight and Tom had the privlege of watching her become a young woman. He was proud of how smart and wise she is. Much like him. Great laughter always came from the things Tanner and Averie would say. They are at great ages where you never know what is going to be said. He loved talking to them and hearing their takes on everything. Shawn, a spitting image of Phil, most likely kept Tom remembering Phil as a young boy. Always into everything, curious as ever and very very loving. Always giving hugs. Evie and Chase, were at a precious time. They will not carry such amazing memories as we do of this great man. But in Tom's last weeks, Evie was a part of his everyday. Being able to see her morning, noon and night gave him little bits of happiness that kept him going. One of our, and Tom's last memories was watching Chase walk for the first time. He was so happy and proud.
